Advice from a Sexpert — Impaulsive, Episode 1
Podcast: Impaulsive with Logan Paul Episode: 1 — Series Premiere Available on: YouTube | Spotify | Apple Podcasts
When Logan Paul launched Impaulsive, he asked me to be his first guest. I thought, why not? Logan and his co-hosts brought their full selves to that conversation: honest questions, zero filter, and a genuine curiosity about sex that most guys never get to express out loud without judgment.
That’s the environment I work best in.
What We Talked About
No Nut November
Logan was in the middle of it when we sat down, so naturally, it came up immediately. We talked about what abstinence actually does to the body — testosterone, mood, mental focus — and why so many men have complicated, shame-filled relationships with their own sexual behavior. I wanted them to walk away with facts rather than myths, and with a little more self-compassion about something so normal.
Sex and Athletic Performance
Logan had decided to abstain before his boxing match with KSI, following the old belief that sex kills your drive to compete. We dug into the research — what it actually shows, where the myth comes from, and how performance anxiety and mental state matter far more than whether or not you had sex the night before.
Modern Dating and Raya
Logan mentioned getting removed from Raya, the celebrity dating app, which opened a real conversation about how digital platforms have changed intimacy. The pressure to perform attractiveness on demand, the emotional toll of rejection by an algorithm, and what it does to your sense of self-worth. These aren’t small things, and they don’t get talked about enough — especially among men.
The Intimacy Stuff Nobody Says Out Loud
We also went somewhere most podcasts won’t — the awkward, unguarded moments that actually define real closeness. I reframed those conversations around vulnerability. Intimacy isn’t just what happens in bed. It’s what happens when your walls come down in ways you didn’t plan for. That’s where connection actually lives.
Why I Said Yes to This Episode
I work with people every day who are carrying shame, confusion, and silence around sex. A lot of them are young men who were never given the language or the permission to talk about what they’re experiencing. Sitting down with Logan and his audience was a chance to reach people who would never walk into my office — and give them something real.
Sex education doesn’t belong only in therapy rooms. It belongs in culture. In podcasts, in conversations with your friends, in the spaces where people are already listening. That’s what this episode was about for me, and it’s what continues to drive my work.
