Here’s what you need to know about Girl Boner Radio: GirlBonerRadio

It’s a place “where good girls go for sexual empowerment.” The host,  August McLaughlin (@augustmclaughlin), is an award-winning health and sexuality writer that focuses her show on exploring female sensual pleasure and more.

I first met August at the SHE Sexual Health Expo in Beverly Hills, CA last year where she presented on health and sexuality. It was so great to connect again and talk women, sex, and myths we learn about our sexuality. I shared the common concerns I see in my practice around sex and ways in which I debunk the negative myths through my sex-positive approach. August was curious about love “addiction” so I shared some of the common misconceptions and the options for treatment.

What is mind-body sexuality? It’s the integration of mental, physical, and socio-cultural factors that influence our sexuality and well-being. My work focuses on understanding values and beliefs around sex and getting individuals and couples to connect more with their bodies – the most important and longest relationship you will ever have – as a path to greater pleasure and self-acceptance.

August McLaughlin, host of Girl Boner Radio and Dr. Shannon Chavez, psychologist and sex therapist, talking sexual health.
